Twestival is a single day, global movement which uses the power of social media to organize offline events that mobilize communities in support of local causes.
Take a few minutes to complete the Twestival wrap-up form below.
This year is going to be even bigger and better than the previous three Twestivals. In order to support our ever growing volunteers around the world, I have brought in four fantastic people to join me (@amanda) in forming a core global team for Twestival Local 2011.
Please join me giving them a huge welcome!
Gretel Truong - Global Events Producer (Washington)
"Twestival turns a daily social habit (Tweeting) into a movement to help others around the world. I look forward to advancing the cause!"
Gretel will be bringing her media and production talents to make the online experience of our Twestival Local 2011 an exciting event to tune into this year.
Deborah Sprague - Global Volunteer Manager (New York City)
"I am looking forward to connecting, engaging and inspiring people all over the world through Twestival."
Thrilled to have Deborah, who has such strong experience and passion for volunteerism joining us this year to ensure everyone interested finds a way to be involved.
Cian O'Donovan - Digital Communications Manager (London)
"Twestival is the best example of globally distributed online organisation affecting real world local change I know. I am most looking forward to watching brand new local connections spring to life and multiply city x city x city."
Cian brings a load of global campaign experience and enthusiasm to Twestival this year. He will be the connection to our local events to make sure their stories are heard online and around the world.
Gaëlle Callnin - Global Project Manager (Denver)
"I love how much Twestival magnifies the power to connect people that otherwise would never meet each other for a common cause of human improvement. I'd like to make sure the mission stays alive and continues to grow in every city around the world - the great the number, the greater the impact!"
Over the moon to have Gaëlle as part of our core team this year. She will be focused on improving our processes, working on various side projects for Twestival and ensuring we are translating all our communications accurately.
Regional Teams
We also have 14 Regions with 36 Regional Coordinators and Creative Digital Teams to support local Twestival organizers this year. We could not do this without their amazing dedication. You can find all of the links to the Twitter pages to the right of this post.
